CACMR Congratulates Canada on the Success of Its Federal Elections and Looks Forward to Working with the New Government and Parliament

The Canada-Arab Congress on Middle East and North Africa Relations (CACMR) extends its sincere congratulations to the people of Canada on the successful conduct of the federal elections held on April 28, 2025, an important democratic milestone that reflects the strength of Canada’s institutions, the integrity of its electoral process, and a political culture grounded in peaceful and transparent transitions of power.

In light of this milestone, CACMR warmly congratulates The Right Honourable Mark Carney on being entrusted with forming the new government following the Liberal Party’s victory. We wish him and his future cabinet every success in fulfilling their responsibilities with dedication and professionalism, in service of all Canadians and in leading the country through the ongoing national and global challenges.

The Congress also commends all candidates for their democratic engagement and sense of responsibility throughout the election process and congratulates all those elected on earning the trust of voters. We extend our best wishes for their success in fulfilling their parliamentary duties in ways that strengthen national unity and democratic progress.

CACMR reaffirms its commitment to continued, constructive cooperation with the Government of Canada and all members of Parliament, across the political spectrum. We stand ready to work together in strengthening relations between Canada and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, guided by mutual respect and shared interests.

We believe the coming period presents valuable opportunities to expand collaboration in areas such as trade and investment, education, sustainable development, and cultural exchange. We also hope that Canada will continue to play a meaningful role on the regional and international stages in supporting dialogue, stability, and peace.

الكونغرس الكندي العربي لعلاقات الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا يهنئ كندا على نجاح انتخاباتها الفيدرالية

ويعرب عن تطلعه للتعاون مع الحكومة والبرلمان الجديدين

يتقدم الكونغرس الكندي العربي لعلاقات الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا (CACMR) بأصدق التهاني إلى الشعب الكندي على نجاح الانتخابات الفيدرالية التي جرت بتاريخ 28 أبريل 2025، والتي تمثل محطة ديمقراطية بارزة في المسار السياسي الكندي، وتجسّد ما تتمتع به البلاد من مؤسسات قوية، ونظام انتخابي نزيه، وثقافة سياسية قائمة على التداول السلمي للسلطة.

ويغتنم الكونغرس الكندي العربي لعلاقات الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا هذه المناسبة ليُعرب عن تهانيه الخالصة للسيد مارك كارني بمناسبة تكليفه بتشكيل الحكومة الجديدة عقب فوز الحزب الليبرالي في الانتخابات العامة، متمنين له وللفريق الوزاري المرتقب التوفيق في أداء مهامهم بكل كفاءة والتزام، وخدمة جميع الكنديين على تنوّعهم، وقيادة البلاد نحو تجاوز التحديات المحلية والعالمية الراهنة. كما يثمّن الكونغرس الروح الديمقراطية العالية التي تحلى بها كافة المرشحين، ويهنئ جميع الفائزين بثقة الناخبين، متمنيًا لهم النجاح في أداء مسؤولياتهم البرلمانية بما يعزز وحدة البلاد وتقدمها.

وإذ يؤكد الكونغرس حرصه على مواصلة التعاون الإيجابي مع الحكومة الكندية ومجلس العموم بكل مكوناته السياسية، فإنه يعرب عن استعداده لتعزيز العمل المشترك في سبيل توثيق العلاقات بين كندا ومنطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا، في إطار من الاحترام المتبادل والمصالح المشتركة.

ويؤمن الكونغرس بأن المرحلة المقبلة تحمل فرصًا واعدة لتوسيع مجالات التعاون ولا سيما في ميادين التجارة والاستثمار، والتعليم، والتنمية المستدامة، والثقافة، كما يأمل أن تواصل كندا دورها المحوري على الساحتين الإقليمية والدولية في دعم الحوار، والاستقرار، والسلام.

وفي هذا السياق، يجدد الكونغرس الكندي العربي التزامه بدوره كجسر فاعل بين المجتمعات الصديقة في كل من كندا والعالم العربي وسائر منطقة الشرق الاوسط وشمال افريقيا، وبدعم المبادرات التي تصبّ في صالح بناء مستقبل مشترك أكثر إشراقًا وتفاهمًا بين الشعوب.
